In a tragic incident that unfolded on Tuesday near Devla Nagli village in Nuh, son of a prominent BJP leader in Rajasthan lost his life. The victim has been identified as Akash Chandila, son of Satveer Chandila, the BJP leader.
Reports from the police indicate that Akash was returning to his residence in Faridabad on Tuesday after attending an event in Rajasthan when his luxury car collided with a milk tanker on the Delhi-Mumbai Highway.
The accident transpired when the tanker driver, identified as Nitin Yadav from Uttar Pradesh, abruptly applied the brakes, rendering him unable to control his vehicle. Akash was immediately rushed to Nalhar Medical College and later transferred to a private hospital in Gurgaon where he reportedly breathed his last on Wednesday.
"We have ascertained the driver's identity as Nitin Yadav from Uttar Pradesh, who has been employed as a driver for four years. He will be taken into custody," stated the police.
The victim's brother, Monty, who was trailing behind Akash when the collision occurred, filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Sadar Nuh police station. Monty alleged that the tanker driver was at fault, accusing him of reckless driving.
