Railway Recruitment Board announces 62,907 vacancies: Here is how candidates can apply

In a major recruitment drive, the Railway Recruitment Board is seeking to fill 62,907 vacancies in various posts, a DNA report said. For candidates from the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, there is five-year relaxation in the upper age limit, while for Other Backward Caste candidates, the relaxation is of three years.Pay scaleThe pay will on Level 1 of the Central Pay Commission Matrix. The initial salary will be Rs 18,000, with other allowances admissible at the time of recruitment.Selection processThe first stage will be a computer-based test (CBT). The candidates who qualify in the CBT will be asked to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). According to the RRB notification, marks will be normalised in the CBT.
