Punjab sees record 77% voting, Uttarakhand 70%: Report

However, results will be known only on 6 March when votes will be counted.The key elections in Punjab and Uttarakhand, which were being ruled by NDA governments, will decide the fate of 1866 candidates including chief ministerial aspirants Prakash Badal, Amarinder Singh and BC Khanduri.While there are 1078 contestant vying for 117 seats in Punjab, the number of candidates for 70 seats in Uttarakhand is 866.
