NHRC issues notice to UP police over Mathura gangrape

When she went to relieve herself at a nearby field, she was abducted and sexually assaulted," the Commission said in a statement.The contents of the press report, if true, raise a serious issue of violation of human rights of the victim, observed the Commission.Notices has been issued to the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police, Mathura and a report in the matter has been sought within two weeks.PTI
