Modi in Mumbai on Dec 22; pay Rs 100-1000 to watch him

Mumbai: Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will address a rally at the MMRDA grounds near the suburban Bandra-Kurla Complex, on December 22, Maharashtra BJP chief Devendra Fadnavis said.Talking to reporters on Monday, he exuded confidence that it would be one of the grandest political rallies held in Maharashtra. Fadnavis said that a central committee, which includes him, has been assigned the task of overseeing preparations for the rally.Besides, Modi other senior BJP leaders who would address the rally include party chief Rajnath Singh, Maharashtra BJP in-charge Rajiv Pratap Rudy, senior leader Gopinath Munde, besides Nitin Gadkari and others, he said.[caption id="attachment_1237019" align="alignleft" width="380"]
The Maharashtra BJP has sais that it would co-ordinate with the Mumbai police to ensure that there are no security lapses during Narendra Modi's December 22 speech.[/caption]On the occasion, the BJP state unit will hand over Rs 25 crore as fund to the central BJP leadership, he said.Speaking about the security and threat perception for rallies addressed by Modi, he said that the Maharashtra BJP would co-ordinate with the Mumbai police to ensure that there would be no security lapses."We will also have online registration for the youth. We will extensively use digital media for the rally. We will collect money through coupons of Rs 100, Rs 500, Rs 1000," he said. Fadnavis also said that party veteran Atal Behari Vajpayee should be honoured with the Bharat Ratna award as he had done a lot for the country.PTI
