Mock drill conducted at Rithala metro station: Twitterati circulate fake electrocution video

When you see people lying on the ground with their eyes closed, don't jump to conclusions. They are not necessarily dead or hurt.When images and videos of over a dozen people lying unconscious on the ground at Delhi's Rithala metro station started doing the rounds, various Twitter handles claimed that they were hurt by electrocution, according to a Zee News report.However, an official statement clarified that it was just a mock drill organised by the District Disaster Management Authority (North-West) Office of the District Magistrate (North-West). According to a DNA report, the notice read, "It is to inform you that the state level mock drill is scheduled to be held on 30 June, 2017, at five locations of District North-West at one time." Rithala metro station was one of the five locations. Some Twitter users pointed out that a similar drill was conducted at the Dwarka Sector 21 station but there were banners put up to alert people, unlike the Rohini drill. There were even videos of people participating in the mock drill. Twitter users even declared "dozens of people" dead in the incident.
