Kumbh stampede: HC defers hearing on PIL seeking judicial probe

Allahabad: The Allahabad High Court today deferred till Monday hearing on a petition seeking a judicial probe into the stampede at the railway station here, in which 36 people were killed and 39 others injured.A division bench comprising justices Sushil Harkauli and Manoj Misra asked the petitioner, A K Bisen, to "apprise the court under what provisions" an order could be passed for a judicial inquiry into the stampede.[caption id="attachment_626222" align="alignleft" width="380"] The stampede took place at the Allahabad Junction on Sunday.
