Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a one-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth who worked with her parents at their house in Chilkalguda area in Hyderabad, police said.[caption id="attachment_2784766" align="alignleft" width="380"]File photo of Hyderabad police. AP.[/caption]The accused, Deepu Singh (20), took the baby girl from the second floor of the house where she was sleeping with her parents, to the ground floor and allegedly raped her at around midnight last night, Chilkalguda Police Station Inspector K Srinivasulu said based on a complaint lodged by her parents."Deepu Singh took the baby girl from her parents who were in deep sleep and allegedly committed rape," Srinivasulu told PTI.The accused was arrested on Wednesday after a case was registered against him on charge of rape under relevant sections of IPC and provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act, based on the complaint. The girl has been shifted to a government hospital in Hyderabad and is undergoing treatment, the police officer said.The parents of the girl are street vendors.
