Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde undergoes surgery at Mumbai hospital

Mumbai: Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde today underwent a surgery for a lung ailment at a hospital here. The 71-year-old Congress leader was admitted to the Breach Candy hospital last night, sources close to him told PTI.Details of his ailment were not immediately known, but the sources said he would be discharged in a day or two. "Shinde would be attending the Monsoon Session of Parliament," they said.However, it was not known when he would be leaving for Delhi. "It was a minor operation," the sources said.Meanwhile, Shinde's daughter Praniti, a Congress MLA, told PTI that her father was doing well after the surgery.[caption id="attachment_1008915" align="alignleft" width="380"]
