Harshita Dahiya shot in Panipat: Haryana singer's sister blames her husband for murder
Twenty-two-year-old Haryanvi singer Harshita Dahiya was shot dead by unknown assailants on Tuesday evening, at Chamrara village in Haryana's Panipat district

YouTube screengrab[/caption]"When she was returning, a black car overtook her vehicle near Chamrara and forced it to stop," Panipat DSP Desh Raj said.He said the youths asked the two assistants and the driver of the singer to come out of the car, and then shot Dahiya in the vehicle.The assailants fired seven bullets, out of which six bullets hit Harshita's forehead and neck, police said, adding that the youths are yet to be identified.A murder case had been registered and investigations are underway, the DSP said.NDTV reported that Dahiya had recently posted a mobile video on social media, in which she alleged that she was getting death threats, but that said she was not afraid. It is not yet known if she had alerted the police regarding the threat to her life.Dahiya was living in Narela in New Delhi.With inputs from PTI
