Shimla/Kullu: A Czech national was found dead in the Chhalal forest area of Manikarn valley in Kullu district, police said today.The deceased, identified as Peter Slanina, had come to Kasol for trekking, police said, adding that an accident during trekking had led to his death.[caption id="attachment_1015253" align="alignleft" width="380"]
Police said that the deceased had fell from a height and died on the spot. Agencies[/caption]According to police, Slanina had come to Kasol from Chandigarh accompanied by three friends: Zeyad Seddik (Egypt), William Michael (Britain) and NRI Sukhman Preet Singh Cheema.According to police, Slanina's friends had on Aug. 4 reported that they were on a trek when he lost his way and got separated from them.His friends found his body yesterday inside a forest, at some distance from Chhalal village.Police said that the deceased had fell from a height and died on the spot.Police have registered a case and the body has been brought to a hospital in Kullu for a post-mortem.The Czech embassy has been informed about the incident, police added.PTI
