Badaun: A minor dalit girl was allegedly gangraped by three youths when she had gone to fetch water in Civil Lines area here, a senior police officer said on Wednesday.[caption id="attachment_1728025" align="alignleft" width="380"]Representational image. PTI[/caption]The 16-year-old victim, a class XI student, was gangraped by her neighbour and his two friends last evening, Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh said."The girl was taken to a private hospital in a serious condition, but doctors refused to admit her and she later died at her residence," he said.Meanwhile, the main accused Prashant Arora locked his house and fled with the accomplices, the SSP said.Police said a case has been lodged against Prashant and the two aides under sections of IPC for murder, rape and under SC/ST Act and POSCO Act.Efforts to nab the absconding accused are on, they said.PTI
