Funds for treating Delhi blast victims would be given by govt: PM

The direction from Manmohan Singh came after an assessment carried out by his Principal Secretary TKA Nair following complaints from some patients that the treatment was not adequate.

New Delhi: With victims of the Delhi High Court blast complaining of inadequate medical attention, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today ordered that funds and expertise required for treating the injured would be provided by the government.[caption id="attachment_78993" align="alignleft" width="380" caption="The death toll in yesterday's blast outside the Delhi High Court has risento 12. Nair presented his assessment to the Prime Minister, they said.The death toll in yesterday's blast outside the Delhi High Court today rose to 12 with one of the victims succumbing to injuries at a hospital here.A high intensity briefcase bomb ripped through the crowded reception area in the Delhi High Court yesterday. Around 75 people were injured in the blast.PTI
