Blackburn call off India trip after Mumbai blasts

Adrian Dennis/AFP"][/caption]Blackburn, owned by poultry firm Venky's, was due to play on Friday in Pune, which is 150 kilometers (93 miles) from Mumbai.The triple bombing in India's financial hub last Wednesday killed 20 people.Blackburn said in a statement that "after detailed discussions with our security and legal advisers we have been left with no option other than to postpone."The northern England club hopes the trip will now take place later in the year when "further risk assessments and appraisals have been undertaken."PTI
