Varun Dhawan's October, directed by Shoojit Sircar, might be inspired by Hollywood sci-fi film Her
Varun Dhawan's upcoming Shoojit Sircar directorial, tentatively titled October, might be inspired by the Hollywood science-fiction film Her.

After delivering back-to-back hit films, Shoojit Sircar's upcoming project October will see Varun Dhawan in a leading role. Although the stories of Piku and Pink were close to real life situations, according to a report by Times of India, the director might tread into the world of science with October. The report suggests that Spike Jonze's Oscar-nominated sci-fiction film Her, could be the inspiration behind Sircar's forthcoming venture.[caption id="attachment_2287248" align="alignleft" width="380"]

Conjectures about Deepika Padukone being considered for the role have been doing the rounds for a while now, however nothing has materialised. The film is slated to be released on 1 June 2018.
