Zoomcar pilots self-drive auto in 6 cities; drive at just Rs 40 for 30 minutes
The company's vehicle catalogue offers a wide and extensive variety of cars for self-driving in India, ranging from hatchbacks to SUVs to luxury sedans


"Although the website and app currently allows the customers to book for a minimum of 4 hours, the price (Rs 10/hr) has been adjusted to account for it. Customers will need to pay only Rs 40 for a 30 minute drive," the company said.The customers will have to undergo a 10-minute guidance session with the fleet executive before driving the auto. After the session, the customer will be able to drive for 20 minutes, accompanied by two professionals.Also in the pilot project, customers can drive only in 1 km radius around pick-up site. Also there is a refundable security deposit of Rs 5,000 for every booking.In January, Zoomcar had launched doorstep services for its customers across major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad.The Bengaluru-headquartered company rents out cars for an hour, day, week, or month.At present, its services are available in Delhi and NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.Its vehicle catalogue offers a wide and extensive variety of cars for self-driving in India, ranging from hatchbacks to SUVs to luxury sedans.
