Smart ID for Aadhaar enrollment from November

New Delhi: Authorised Unique Identity (Aadhaar) enrollment agency Smart ID plans to start enrolling people in the NCR region by visiting them in their localities on mobile vans under its project 'Aadhaar on Wheels'.

"Most of the people are unable to visit Aadhaar enrollment agency for some reason. We have designed our programme to take our Aadhaar enrollment stations on mobile vans to increase enrolment and participation of citizen," Smart ID Chief Executive Officer Sanjeev Mathur told PTI.

He said Smart ID is working on logistics and approval from the Delhi government for the programme.

"Delhi government will have to inform localities where we will visit. We are waiting for their approval. We expect to finalise all the details and start it by end of November" Mathur said.

He said Smart ID is already enrolling 50 people per day in North East Delhi and through 'Aadhar on Wheels' it expects to increase enrolment up to 150 per day.

"We will see response in Delhi and then scale to country level," Mathur said.
