Novell Sentinel Certified To Interoperate With SAP NetWeaver

Novell has announced that its Novell Sentinel 6.1 security information event management (SIEM) product has achieved SAP-certified integration with the SAP NetWeaver technology platform.

SIEM technologies analyse security event data in real time to identify threats, produce reports and log data for compliance monitoring. Novell Sentinel 6.1 simplifies security monitoring by enabling administrators to manage information and alerts with an associated knowledge of the identity of the user who triggered the alert.

"Our industry-leading compliance management solutions make it easier to automate, validate and enforce IT controls in real time," said Jim Ebzery, senior vice president and general manager, Identity and Security Management at Novell. "By integrating our SIEM solutions with the SAP solution-based environment, we are positioned to help companies further leverage the governance, risk and compliance capabilities of SAP solutions."
