Novell SecureLogin Adds Support For Windows Vista

Novell has announced enhancements to its single sign-on solution, including support for Windows Vista, improved authentication capabilities, and expanded applications support. Novell SecureLogin is a scalable enterprise single sign-on solution, featuring security capabilities to help customers meet compliance mandates for multi-factor authentication, automate and simplify password management and lower IT administration costs.

"Enterprise single sign-on is a robust and mature industry," said Sally Hudson, research director at IDC. "Vendors that can provide multiple features, easy integration with a variety of applications, support the most popular operating systems and address strong authentication methods, clearly have an advantage."

According to the release, enhanced features in Novell SecureLogin include support for Windows Vista, strong authentication features, centralised administration and streamlined access to enterprise applications.

According to Jim Ebzery, senior vice president of Identity and Security Management at Novell, "This new version of Novell SecureLogin not only provides support for Windows Vista and advanced authentication to improve enterprise security, it enforces consistent password policies to minimise the risk of data breaches and simplifies compliance with industry regulations and standards."
