HTC To Enter The Tablet Market With Scribe
HTC to come out with a Chrome OS based tablet.
The tablet market looks all set to bloom this year. With new tablets from Motorola, Notion Ink and Apple coming out with the iPad II, HTC doesn’t want to be left behind. In fact, there were rumors that they were studying the tablet market and that they were coming out with a Chrome OS based tablet in November.
According to Bloomberg, they have filed a trademark under the name “HTC Scribe” calling it a “handheld wireless device, namely a tablet computer.” The patent was filed on the 26th of December with the U.S Patent and Trademark Office.
The tablet is supposed to be “priced in competition with the iPad” and “could be good or better.” according to Will Stofega, program director with the consulting firm, IDC.
