ContentGuard Licences DRM Patents To Nokia

ContentGuard Holdings, a developer of digital rights management (DRM) technology, has entered into a worldwide patent licencing agreement with Nokia Corporation. ContentGuard technology enables the implementation of digital content distribution models such as content rental, content subscription, variable pricing, and secure peer-to-peer distribution. Terms of the licencing agreement were not disclosed.

"We are extremely pleased that Nokia will be able to use our technology in its business to advance the delivery and consumption of digital content," said Rob Logan, CEO of ContentGuard. "We are confident this will broaden and enable consumer-friendly DRM solutions in the marketplace. This agreement adds another industry leader to our marquee list of licencees and strengthens our presence in the DRM technology space."
