Alok Ohrie to lead EMC India & SAARC

EMC has announced that Alok Ohrie will succeed Manoj Chugh as the president of EMC India and SAARC region.

EMC, a leading player in the field of information infrastructure solutions, has announced that Alok Ohrie will succeed Manoj Chugh as the president of EMC India and SAARC Region. Ohrie, a 20-year IT industry veteran in India, joins EMC from AMD where he was the vice president and managing director for AMD's India operations. Manoj Chugh has been promoted to lead the Global Accounts Practice for EMC in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).

"India is an important and strategic market where EMC has announced more than $500 million in investments, and Bangalore is home to one of our two Centres of Excellence located in Asia Pacific and Japan," says Ron Goh, president, EMC South Asia. "I'm pleased to announce someone of Alok's calibre as our new leader for India. Alok's extensive technology and leadership experience will continue to position India as both a source of innovation and revenue growth for EMC."
