Watch Ugly trailer: Anurag Kashyap's dark thriller to hit the screens on 26 Dec
While Kashyap has been pushing the release date of Bombay Velvet because apparently neither he nor his actors, including Ranbir Kapoor, are happy with the way it has turned out, he wants Ugly to be out immediately and has finalised 26 December as the release date.

Anurag Kashyap voluntarily delayed the release of Ugly to fight a court case challenging Cigarettes and Tobacco Products Act, which makes it compulsory for filmmakers to crop or mask any scenes depicting ads of tobacco or its products. However, Bombay High Court recently refused to change the Act. While it means that films will still have those disclaimers every time anyone smokes onscreen, the good news is that Kashyap's dark thriller Ugly will finally hit the screens.[caption id="attachment_1853789" align="alignleft" width="380"]
