Suraj Pancholi's bail denied, will stay in custody till 27 June

A Mumbai court today rejected the bail plea of Suraj Pancholi, son of actor Aditya Pancholi, who has been charged with abetment in actress Jiah Khan's suicide case.

According to an NDTV report, Pancholi will now remain in jail till 27 June, as ordered by the court last week.

A former boyfriend of Khan, Pancholi was arrested on 10 June after her family handed over a letter, found three days after the actress’ suicide on 3 June, to the police.

The letter spoke of her strained relationship with Suraj and how she was deeply hurt as she had to abort their baby.

Suraj was involved romantically with Jiah for over a year.

Khan's  mother blamed Suraj for driving her daughter to suicide. However, the letter did not mention the person it is addressed to and narrates emotional travails of its writer.

Postmortem report of Jiah Khan has concluded that the Bollywood actress died due to hanging and no external injuries were found on her body.
