RIP James Horner: Hollywood condoles music composer's death

The film industry lost another stalwart as Oscar-winning music composer James Horner died the age of 61 in a plane crash near Santa Barbara, United States.[caption id="attachment_2308394" align="alignleft" width="380"] James Horner. AP[/caption]Most will know him as the composer who gave us iconic movie tunes from Braveheart to A Beautiful Mind. He earned 10 Oscar nominations in all but his most celebrated work was the score for Titanic for which he won two Academy Awards. Horner captured the Oscar for Original Dramatic Score, and Original Song (shared with lyricist Will Jennings) for 'My heart will go on' performed by Celine Dion.His death was confirmed by Sylvia Patrycja, who is identified on Horner's film music page as his assistant. She posted on Facebook saying "He died doing what he loved. Thank you for all your support and love and see you down the road."

Horner's death was condoled by many Hollywood celebrities including Russel Crowe who was the lead in A Beautiful Mind. It was also started trending on Twitter worldwide as thousands mourned Horner's death.(With agency inputs)
