Karishma-Sunjay’s strained relation stoops a new low; Karishma files a dowry harassment case

Of late, Karishma Kapoor rarely makes news, but when she does, she does it for all the wrong reasons. In the last couple of months, the media trail was on her for even the slightest development since the news broke that her estranged husband, Delhi-based businessman, Sunjay Kapur filed for a fresh divorce petition in January.[caption id="attachment_2646484" align="alignleft" width="380"] Karishma Kapoor, Sunjay Kapur. Karishma Kapoor, however,  has now filed a dowry harassment case against Sunjay in Khar police station. Reports suggest that it’s the second time Karishma has approached the Khar police station in a week; last time she went with a complaint of mental harassment against her husband and mother-in-law.Sunjay shared his grievances with Mumbai Mirror when he filed the fresh divorce petition where he mentioned that Karishma had married him only for his money and further accused that how Karishma failed in her role not only as a wife and daughter-in-law but also as a mother.Karishma remained mum but her father, actor Randhir Kapoor, put a strong objection on Sunjay’s allegation arguing that they can support themselves and need not to “run after anybody's money”Karishma’s marriage to Sunjay has raised speculations in the past. Karishma was all set to marry Abhishek Bachchan and at the eleventh hour Abhishek backed out. Sunjay also accused her of marrying him on the rebound.As of now, Karishma and Sunjay’s kids — daughter Samiera and son Kiaan Raj Kapoor—are with Karishma, but the fight for their custody has now been pushed to the background as the case keeps getting uglier by the day.
