'Deadpool' gets Ryan Reynolds MTV Award; actor thanks wife Blake Lively in hilarious speech

Los Angeles: Actor Ryan Reynolds joked about his sex life with wife Blake Lively while accepting the Best Comedic Performance Award for his role in Deadpool at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards.[caption id="attachment_2723288" align="alignleft" width="380"] Blake Lively with RYan Reynolds. Image from IBNLive[/caption]In his acceptance speech, the actor thanked Lively, while saying that everything he does is to "make her laugh, especially the sex", reports aceshowbiz.com.Reynolds also poked fun at comedienne-actress Amy Schumer, who was nominated for Trainwreck."I'm really glad Amy Schumer didn't win, that would be really weird with those dances," Reynolds told the audience, referring to presenters Zac Efron and Seth Rogen's dances alongside a group of Deadpools when they welcomed Reynolds on stage."I have been trying to get Deadpool made for over a decade and I failed. It's you the fans that got this made. The reason I'm standing up here is because of you guys, and we had blast working on this movie, but it wasn't all unicorns and cocaine," he added.Ryan and Blake met on the sets of their film Green Lantern. While the film bombed, their relationship took off.In an interview, Ryan spoke about his first date with his future wife: “For about a year (after) Green Lantern had come and gone, we were both single,” Reynolds recalled. “We went on a double date; she was on a date with another guy, and I was on a date with another girl. That was the most awkward date for the respective parties, because there was just fireworks coming across.”After he attended the MTV Movie Awards ceremony, Ryan tweeted:Deadpool revived Ryan's film career in a major way after Green Lantern (2011) and R.I.P.D. (2013) flopped. Reports state that he has already been signed on for a Deadpool sequel, and that the terms of his contract are being reworked.
