Belittling someone for their (un)education is not helping matters. A close observation will reveal the best ministers were not the Ox-bridge bunch but hard-working people from humble background.

As is Firstpost policy, the comment has been lightly edited for grammar. Belittling someone for their (un)education is not helping matters. A close observation will reveal the best ministers were not the Ox-bridge bunch but hard-working people from humble background. The best example to me was K.Kamaraj, ex-CM of TN. He's known as 'Padikatha methai' - the uneducated genius. Schemes pioneered by him in various sectors are instrumental in TN being among some of the top performing states.[caption id="attachment_1546283" align="alignleft" width="380"]Smriti Irani in this file photo. What did we get out of him? Abdication of power. We had Kapil Sibal as the HRD minister, we got ill-conceived policies right from primary education to foreign universities in India. And not to forget the (in)-famous zero loss argument.Let's not judge or criticise the people rather discuss and debate their policies. A very necessary shift in political discussions in India!
