Watch: A sombre-looking Obama dropping the beat to Miranda's freestyle rap

Well it’s not every day you witness the President of the United States making a viral rap video. The video features a sombre looking Obama holding up index cards giving cues to words and an enthusiastic Miranda reading off of them and producing spontaneous lyrics, reported Entertainment Weekly.Here's an example Miranda’s talent. “We really need a new justice for the Supreme Court, in short, oh my gosh this is my book report. And immigrants, we get the job done, this is so fun, POTUS is holding up the signs, I’m not done. Opportunity knocks, I can’t stop, I’m here with the president and my pops, and yo, the mic drops.”At the end of the video, a mighty impressed President goes on to add, “How good is that?” he asks the audience. “You think that’s going viral? That’s going viral.”Here is the video:The video came out on the day the cast of Hamilton was at the White House for an unusual performance of songs from the mega-hit Broadway show.The musical tells the true story of Alexander Hamilton, the nation's first treasury secretary. It is told by a young African-American and Latino cast and has a varied score that ranges from pop ballads to sexy R&B to rap battles.The Obamas have been big boosters of the show. The president took daughters Sasha and Malia to see it last year after Michelle Obama caught it last spring.Miranda is an American composer, lyricist, rapper, actor who is known for his Tony award-winning musical In the Heights. He tweeted the following after The White House released the video.
