Thailand closes Phuket airport, issues tsunami warning

The airport has been shut down temporarily owing to the tsunami warning.

Bangkok: The international airport on the southern Thai tourist island of Phuket was closed on Wednesday after a tsunami warning was issued following an 8.7 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Indonesia, its director said.[caption id="attachment_272602" align="alignleft" width="380" caption="No boarding for now.
