Rudy Giuliani hospitalised in critical condition, Trump calls him 'true warrior'

Former Mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani, was hospitalised and is currently in a critical stage, his spokesperson told the media on Sunday. The spokesman, Ted Goodman, stated in a press release that the 81-year-old is critical but stable. However, he did not mention exactly what led to the hospitalisation.

US President Donald Trump also issued a statement on Giuliani's hospitalisation, insisting that he was "right about almost everything". Goodman, on the other hand, referred to the former NYC mayor as a fighter and noted that he is navigating the situation.

"Mayor Rudy Giuliani is currently in the hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition," the statement said. "Mayor Giuliani is a fighter who has faced every challenge in his life with unwavering strength, and he's fighting with that same level of strength as we speak. We do ask that you join us in prayer for America's Mayor -- Rudy Giuliani."

In his post on TruthSocial, Trump spoke about Giuliani's hospitalisation, referring to him as a "True Warrior". "Our fabulous Rudy Giuliani, a True Warrior and the Best Mayor in the History of New York City, BY FAR, has been hospitalised, and is in critical condition," the American leader said in his post.

"What a tragedy that he was treated so badly by the Radical Left Lunatics, Democrats ALL — AND HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING! They cheated in the Elections, fabricated hundreds of stories, did everything possible to destroy our Nation, and now, look at Rudy. So sad! President DONALD J. TRUMP," he added.

Giuliani served as New York City's mayor from 1994 to 2001. Last year, Trump pardoned him and 77 others who were accused of the 2020 US election interference.
