Pakistan: Four injured as spate of gun attacks rock Karachi

Four persons were hurt in separate gunshot incidents in Karachi on Sunday, one of which was a local journalist.

Reporter Shoaib Burney of a private news station was hurt when gunmen on Rashid Minhas Road opened fire on his car. The perpetrators are still at large.

It is now stated that his condition is stable after he was brought to the hospital immediately.

Many people were injured in three separate shooting incidents that happened in different parts of Karachi as a result of resistance to robbery. As per ARY News, the incidents took place at Azizabad, Liaquatabad, and the Site Superhighway.

In all three instances, the armed attackers fled without incident. The status of law and order in Karachi is still deteriorating.

In Karachi, there have been other instances of robbery and street crime before this one.

According to Dawn, which cited a study, almost one-fourth of the city's population has directly suffered the loss of life, and nearly two-thirds of the population has experienced such incidents in one way or another. As a result of the increase in crime rates in Karachi, Pakistan, the locals are experiencing fear psychosis and a sense of insecurity.

The study found that Karachi residents found the city's rising crime rates to be concerning.
