FBI pulled in to probe vile anti-Semitic threats against Jew students at NY's Cornell University
Several remarks with themes like "Eliminate Jewish living from Cornell Campus" and "Israel deserved 10/7" were posted on the school's Greekrank page, a platform for fraternity and sorority assessments

The FBI is looking into a Cornell University message board after Jewish students became the target of horrific anti-Semitic threats.Anti-Semitic graffiti has already been noticed on the walls of the Ivy League university in Ithaca, New York, and one of its professors was forced to resign after calling the attacks "exhilarating" and "energizing." Revolting anti-Semitic threats were found online, and on Sunday night, authorities were looking into them at the school's Center for Jewish Living. Some of the disgusting remarks used obscene language to threaten harm, including rape. The anti-Semitic term "pig" was used numerous times. In a letter to students, Cornell President Martha E. Pollack disclosed that she had spoken with the FBI over "a potential hate crime."Several remarks with themes like "Eliminate Jewish living from Cornell Campus" and "Israel deserved 10/7" were posted on the school's Greekrank page, a platform for fraternity and sorority assessments. "Watch out Jews, jihad is coming," a member wrote.Even more offensive was the writing of another, which said, "I will bring an assault rifle to campus and shoot all you pig Jews." Jews should die like pigs because they are human creatures. Using the handle "hamas," the commenter threatened to sexually assault female students and said, "Liberation by any means." Palestine shall be free from the river to the sea!The school's Kosher dining hall and the Center for Jewish Living were singled out in a particular message. "Earlier today, a website unaffiliated with Cornell hosted a series of horrific, antisemitic messages threatening violence to our Jewish community and specifically naming 104 West - the home of the Center for Jewish Living," stated President Pollack in a statement."Law enforcement was notified immediately," she continued.Following the state's response to the terror strikes by Hamas that resulted in the deaths of 1,400 Israelis on October 7, Cornell, like many other liberal campuses, has been the epicenter of anti-Israel protests.Only a few days after a professor who had called a Hamas attack "exhilarating" and "energizing" took a leave of absence, the school was vandalized with antisemitic graffiti that said, "f**k Israel."Messages like 'Israel is Fascist' and 'Zionism is Racism' were spray-painted on the walkways of Cornell University's upstate New York campus on Wednesday morning. The incident happened in the midst of a contentious university debate about the Israel-Palestine conflict, which started after Professor Russell Rickford was forced to resign due to his remarks regarding Hamas' devastating attack. The university staff has now removed the graffiti, which included sayings like "F**k Israel," "Israel is Fascist," "Zionism equals Racism," and "Free Palestine." The graffiti was initially observed shortly before nine in the morning.
