Eight killed in Pak bomb blast

At least eight people were killed and 20 others injured when a bomb went off in a busy market in the Orakzai tribal region of northwest Pakistan today, officials said.

Islamabad: At least eight people were killed and 20 others injured when a bomb went off in a busy market in the Orakzai tribal region of northwest Pakistan today, officials said.The bomb, hidden in a donkey cart, exploded in Hasanzai Bazar of Orakzai Agency this morning. Police officials said the device was triggered by remote control.[caption id="attachment_487837" align="alignleft" width="380"] Representational image. Agencies.[/caption]Some of the seriously injured persons were taken to Peshawar, the capital of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. Security forces cordoned off the area and conducted a search operation.No group claimed responsibility for the attack. Orakzai Agency is one of the seven semi-autonomous tribal districts of northwest Pakistan.PTI
