He previously announced his intention to amend the law so that convicted criminals are required to attend their sentencing hearings, particularly in the wake of the case where murderer Lucy Letby did not appear at her hearing.Furthermore, Prime Minister Sunak disclosed plans to impose life sentences without the possibility of parole for the most heinous murderers, with judges compelled to administer the harshest penalty in the UK's criminal justice system, with only a few exceptional cases.These legal changes would also establish life imprisonment as the default sentence for sexually motivated murders.
