AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd accused of trying to procure murder

Wellington, New Zealand: The drummer for rock band AC/DC has been charged in New Zealand with attempting to procure murder.Phil Rudd on Thursday made a brief appearance at the Tauranga District Court before being released on bail. The 60-year-old has also been charged with threatening to kill and possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.[caption id="attachment_1790361" align="alignleft" width="380"]

Neither Rudd's lawyer nor a publicist for the band could be immediately reached for comment.Court staff say Rudd is due to make a second appearance 27 November, although that date could change.
