Rockstar reveals GTA VI pricing, offers Vice City-themed bonuses for early purchases

Rockstar Games has finally revealed the pricing for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI. The upcoming title will retail at $79.99 for the Standard Edition, while the Ultimate Edition will cost $99.99. Pre-orders are set to go live at midnight tonight.

Players will be able to purchase either digital or physical editions of the game. However, Rockstar has confirmed that the physical version will only include a download code rather than a game disc. On the upside, both editions will begin shipping on November 12, allowing buyers to preload the game ahead of its full release on November 19.

Rockstar has also announced that anyone who purchases the game before November 20 will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, a throwback to 2002's GTA: Vice City. The pack includes Vice City-inspired content such as the Vapid Stanier sedan, a themed garage, exclusive outfits and hairstyles, and a special weapon skin. Digital pre-orders will also come with a free month of Rockstar's GTA+ subscription.

The Ultimate Edition includes a range of digital bonuses that unlock as players progress through the story, including exclusive vehicles, weapons, outfits, tattoos, and access to special in-game stores.

The pricing announcement comes amid widespread speculation about GTA VI's cost. The gaming industry has seen prices steadily rise over the past year, with both consoles and games becoming more expensive. Notably, Nintendo recently increased the prices of some Switch 2 titles to $69.99 and, in some cases, as high as $79.99.
