Nokia Asha 205 with dedicated Facebook key out for Rs 3,499

Nokia today officially launched the Asha 205 device in India. The price is only Rs 3,499 which is pretty cheap if you consider the fact that this phone has a fully dedicated Facebook key.“Young consumers are increasingly using Facebook for communication, socialising and entertaining. Image from Nokia's site.[/caption]Key features of the Asha 205 (Single SIM version) are: It has a 2.4-inch colour QVGA landscape screen with QWERTY display. It has a 0.3 megapixels camera sensor but the Camera resolution is VGA.The memory is expandable upto 32GB with a Micro-SD card. It supports 2G browsing and has 37 days standby / 11 hours talk-time.The Dual-SIM variant of the Nokia Asha 205 has the same specs, but with a lower standby time – 25 days. Users can access the web, social networking sites such as Facebook, etc with this device.Kevin D'Souza, Country Growth Manager, Facebook India, said Facebook has 65 million active users in this country.Nokia has also included 'Slam' feature in Asha 205. Slam allows consumers to share multimedia content like photos, music and video with nearby friends almost instantly, Nokia officials said.Slam works with most Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without the need to pair devices, and without the recipient having to install Slam, they said."In just a few clicks, people can 'Slam' their content to another device faster than Bluetooth alone and without consuming internet data", Nokia said.With inputs from PTI
