Begun in 2005, YouTube rose out of the need of Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, Jawed Karim to have a medium to share videos with ease. With little tugs and pulls, YouTube came into existence, and as they say the rest is history. Although the official launch happened only in November 2005, it was in May 2005 that the first public beta test came out. Today, the site boasts of a whopping 37 percent increase from its figures reported six months, ago. Now, with YouTube making space for original content on its site, the numbers promise to rise even more.
