Yodigito, an e-commerce company has recently launched an 8-inch 3D media player, Gadmei P83, that allows glasses-free viewing. It uses a 3D full-HD LED-backlit panel display with image intertwined decoding and a Lenticular LCD screen to achieve the stereoscopic effect without glasses. The Gadmei P83 also supports 2D viewing with a dedicated switch for transition between 2D and 3D. It sports a resolution of 1280x768 pixels and has an inbuilt 4GB storage capacity with support for MMC, SD, SDHC (at a maximum of 32GB).

According to the company, it supports .AVI, .TS, .MOV, .MP4, .MKV and other 3D video formats, live 3DM (3D video format) and 3DV (network popular format) and offers 1080 full HD video decoding. The player has a built-in stand that slots out in case users might want to have a handsfree view. The ports include a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a mini USB connection. It comes with a 4000 mAh replaceable Lithium-ion battery.
Besides the above features, the Yodigito PMP also doubles as an eBook reader. But at 512 gms or half a kg, it does seem like a pretty heavy piece of hardware.
