Yahoo now shows Flickr images in search results

When pushing out search results, Yahoo will now look at your Flickr images too. So, users who have signed into their Flickr account will now be able to view their Flickr images in results.The search results will also shows images from people you follow and top public photos. In a blogpost, the company writes, “We’ve revamped Yahoo image search by not only showing you the best Web results but also by pulling in images from Flickr. Now, if you’re signed in, your search will display personalized results from Flickr, including a selection of your own photos, images from people you follow and top public photos on Flickr."The company will pull up images only from personal account, and one doesn’t have to worry about their private images going public. "We will only pull Flickr photos from your personal account if you have images relevant to your search," the blogpost adds.Besides, Yahoo has advanced search options such as colour and size that are applicable to images from web as well as Flickr. Then there’s ‘More images’ button that will appear in every category of Flickr image results and links directly to Flickr.com for more photos. The new revamped image search is now available for desktop users in the US. There is no word on when it will begin rolling out to others.
