How would it be if your queries would be solved, even without having you spell it out completely? Almost literally, Yahoo has come up with a ‘Direct’ way to do the same.

Instant, but, relevant too?

Instant, but, relevant too?

You would remember that Google, a while ago launched its instant query solver. Now, Yahoo, as almost an answer to Google’s instant theme has launched what it calls ‘Search Direct’. Perhaps, now, users can use the platform to dish out answers to their queries. Experts believe that Yahoo’s Search Direct is modeled on Google’s ‘Instant search’ technique. Although we’re not sure how much of it is true, there are some serious similarities for sure.

However, despite it supposedly being faster than Google’s function; it does have some wrecking limitations. For instance, unlike Google, which dishes out random results, Yahoo’s Search Direct will first offer its own service, if it corresponds to the alphabet you punched. Here are some probable-s you might find, too:

  • I = iTunes
  • J = Jennifer Lopez
  • Q = QVC
  • X = Xbox 360
  • Z = Zsa Zsa Gabor

The Search Direct option is available in the beta version of Yahoo.
