Xiaomi's Redmi 4X gets a new 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant

Xiaomi has introduced a new variant of the Redmi 4X in China with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage.

Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi 4X a couple of months back along with the Mi 5C in China. At the time of its announcement, the handset was announced in two variants, 2 GB RAM  with 16 GB storage and 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage.Now a new variant of the handset has been unveiled which includes 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.Apart from the new memory configuration, rest of the features remain the same. Which means you get  a 5-inch 720p display with 2.5D glass on top, a metal body with curved edges, an octa-core Snapdragon 435 chipset and a 4,100mAh battery which is said to offer two days of backup on a single charge. There is a 13 MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, PDAF and LED flash while there is a 5 MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture.redmi-4x-4GBThe pricing of the Redmi 4X starts at 699 Yuan ( Rs 7,000 approx) for the 2 GB + 16 GB model, 899 Yuan (Rs 9,000 approx) for the 3 GB + 32 GB version while the new 4 GB +  64 GB model comes with a price tag of 1,099 Yuan (Rs 11,000 approx). The new variant will start selling on 9 May. The handset is still exclusive to China.The company is also expected to announce the Redmi 4 in India soon as recently it released a teaser for the upcoming handset.
