Xiaomi slashes prices for Mi 5, now available for Rs 22,999

Xiaomi Mi India has just announced a permanent price drop for the latest flagship smartphone from the company, Mi5. The Mi5 will now be available for Rs 22,999 exclusively on Flipkart and Mi.com. The new price is Rs 2,000 less than the original price of Rs 24,999.The Mi 5 was launched on 31 March earlier this year and comes packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It sports a 5.15-inch 1080p display along with a 3D glass metal body from Corning Gorilla 4. The device sports a 16MP rear camera along with a 4-axis Optical Image Stabilisation along with a 4MP front camera. The phone is equipped with a front fingerprint sensor and a 3000mAh battery. The device runs on 3GB RAM and packs 32GB internal storage.This comes right after it was announced that Xiaomi sales have increased by 72% in India. In addition, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has recently broken the record, becoming the most shipped phone sold online in one-quarter.
