Xiaomi has announced the list of devices that will get the Android Nougat based MIUI 9. The updates will start rolling out along with the 26 July launch of the Xiaomi Mi 5X, which has already got over 400,000 registrations. The update will be released in batches, and the first phone to receive the update will be the Mi 6. The update will be available for phones going back all the way to Mi 2/2S, a device launched in 2013.Here is a complete list of all the devices, that are eligible for receiving the MIUI 9 China ROM: Mi 6, Mi 5s Plus, Mi 5s, Mi 5c, Mi 5, Mi 4S, Mi 4c, Mi 4, Mi 3, Mi 2/2S, Mi MIX, Mi Max 2, Mi Max, Mi Note 2, Mi Note/Pro, Mi Pad 2, Mi Pad 1, Redmi Note 4X (MTK), Redmi Note 4X (SD), Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 3 (MTK), Redmi Note 3 (SD), Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note, Redmi Pro, Redmi 4X, Redmi 4A, Redmi 4, Redmi 4 Prime, Redmi 3S/Prime, Redmi 3, Redmi 2A, Redmi 2/Prime, Redmi 1S, Redmi 1. Due to restrictions in China on Google services, the Xiaomi Chinese ROM for MIUI is different from the Global ROM. It is unclear at this point of time which devices will get the Global ROM of MIUI 9. The update will be rolled out in four phases, and the older phones will be among the last to get the update. MIUI 9 is expected to be lighter than MIUI 8, with some features removed for a more streamlined and stable experience.
