Publisher 2K Games has announced the release date for the first major expansion pack that's going to hit last year's tactical strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Dubbed XCOM: Enemy Within, the expansion pack is hitting the PC version on November 15. There's no word yet on the console release, but it shouldn't be too far off.

While the PC version will be available separately through digital means (Steam), the expansion pack is apparently too big for such a release on the consoles. As a result, Firaxis' Senior Producer Garth DeAngelis had stated that the console versions will be getting the expansion pack through the upcoming XCOM: Commander's Edition.Stay gangsta while fighting aliens!

It will be a re-release that will include the original game, Enemy Within and the Slingshot and Elite Soldier add-ons. The retail re-release is expected to cost $40 (Rs 2,680 approx). On PC, the DLC is going to cost $30 (Rs 2,000 approx).

XCOM: Enemy Within is going to add a bunch of new features to the game, which includes new abilities for soldiers, gene mods accessible through the genetics lab, mechanised exoskeletal cybersuits, new weapons and equipment, new enemies, new strategic resource, new tactical challenges and new maps for both the multiplayer mode. There will also be tactical challenges and maps part of cloak-and-dagger and intelligence operations.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
