XCOM Announced
2K Marin plan on resurrecting the X-COM franchise in all new first person shooter avatar.

2K Marin, the very same guys behind BioShock 2 are now working on a reboot of the XCOM franchise. This time round the game will be a first person shooter adding in an extra layer of immersion along with all the strategic elements that made the first game a blast at the time.
Here’s what Christoph Hartmann, of 2K had to say on the matter, __STARTQUOTE__"With BioShock 2, the team at 2K Marin proved themselves as masters of first-person, suspenseful storytelling, and with XCOM they will re-imagine and expand the rich lore of this revered franchise. Players will explore the world of XCOM from an immersive new perspective and experience firsthand the fear and tension of this gripping narrative ride."__ENDQUOTE__
XCOM will release sometime next year for the Xbox360 and PC.
Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
