The company, while addressing the user complaints that had cropped up, said, “We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If an issue occurs with our software or devices, we take immediate steps to ensure a quality experience for every single customer—that’s been our driving priority in this case, despite the very limited number of customers impacted. We are grateful to the customers who shared their Surface RT devices, assisting our efforts to determine the root cause quickly."
The fixed update is definitely going to be a welcome one to users. Multiple reports have shown that the company has been struggling to push up the sales figures of its Surface tablets, and the issues faced with the update could affect the same further. When the issue was first reported, the company had stated that one out of every 1,000 Surface RT devices were being affected, but could the exact problem could not be figured out at the time.
