WatchESPN app gets Google Chromecast support for live streaming FIFA World Cup

The FIFA World Cup 2014 is just around the corner and tech biggies have decided to show their support for the most watched and anticipated football games of the year. Google have introduced the new Chromecast which allows you to cast live sports content the WatchESPN app if you receive ESPN networks as a part of your cable, satellite or paid-TV subscription from affiliated providers. The new feature has been introduced initially for US 'soccer' fans to watch all the 64 World Cup matches. They can cast the matches to their HDMI-sporting TV with the tap of the cast button within the default app. WatchESPN is not available in India, so this is a US-only affair for now. The app will also allow users to cast other important sporting events such as the NBA Finals, X Games or even college football live.  Besides the World Cup-related announcement, Google has also tied up with the American Major League Soccer for streaming league matches. MLS Matchday app and MLS LIVE premium services are also supported by Chromecast now. It's not just sports fans that Google is pleasing with the new update. You can now turn your TV in to a digital photo album with pictures pulled directly from your Google+ photos and videos. The cast button is seen in the Photos view of the latest Google+ for Android and iOS, Google has also added Crunchyroll to the Chromecast lineup for your daily dose of Manga, anime, music and entertainment content.
