Chinese smartphone vendor Vivo announced two new smartphones yesterday in China, the X7 and X7 Plus. Both the smartphones look similar offering different form factors with a metal build and Gold and Rose Gold colour options to choose from.The smartphones feature a fingerprint scanner and both of them are powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor clocked at 1.8GHz with 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of storage. The handsets are selfie centred so you get 16MP camera units on the front with an f/2 aperture.The X7 features a 5.2-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display with a 2.5D curved glass on top. It features dual-SIM capability, a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and PDAF (phase detection auto focus) and Android 5.1 Lollipop with Funtouch OS 2.5.1. The handset also features Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi, LTE and 3,00mAh battery with fast charge support. . The company listing confirm that the Vivo X7 is compatible with Indian LTE bands. It measures 147.3x71.8x7.2mm and weighs 151 grams. The handset is backed by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging.The X7 Plus, is a larger device sporting a 5.7-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display with a similar 2.5D curved glass as the X7. It packs pretty much the same features as its younger brother but has 16MP rear camera and 4,000mAH battery with fast charge support.Prices start at CNY 2,498 (Rs 25,000 approx) for the Vivo X7 which goes on sale in China 7 July 7. Vivo X7 Plus will be available starting 15 July 15 with no confirmation of pricing. The company will be announcing the pricing for the X7 Plus at the time of local release. Both the smartphones will be available in Gold and Rose Gold colours.
